Founders Park Second Sundays Concerts July 10 and August 14.
Make sure Sunday the 10th is on your calendar for Second Sundays - Founders Philharmonic! Our second vocalist joining the orchestra is Keegan Darr (Keegan Lin Music), a long time performer of Regional Performing Arts Company and Bearcat Theatre Company. She will be performing a modern arrangement of The Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby." On the 10th, catch the Summertet Brass Quintet at 3 p.m. performing patriot music, ragtime, Disney, movie music, and more. At 5 p.m. try out a musical instrument of your own with Quinlan & Fabish Music Company's instrument petting zoo tent. The full pop orchestra starts at 7 p.m. Food trucks and a tap truck will be onsite for families to enjoy all day long!
Who will be chosen as our guest conductor this Sunday to conduct “Stars and Stripes Forever”? Vote with your donations by going to Facebook, search for Portage LIVE and scroll to “Choose Your Conductor”. Don’t miss out on this awesome (and free) community concert!
Also, on August 14 at Founders Square Amphitheater from 3pm to 9pm:
3pm: Marco Villarreal Trio
5pm: Vintage Postcard Trio
7pm: Midwest Big Band with Mary Kay Steele and Jim Bulanda
